Sparkler: Light It and Watch Your Message Burn Into View

← All Reveal Formats

The screen fades to black except for a matchstick. The recipient lights it, then drags it blindly through the dark searching for the sparkler, there's no marker to aim at. The instant the flame finds it, it catches, and an ember traces your message in glowing gold, letter by letter, showering real sparks as it goes, before dying down to smoke. It's the most personal reveal in the set: the recipient's name gets burned right into the message itself, not tucked into a heading above it.

πŸŽ‰ That's the idea. Your real message would burn in right there.
Tap the match, then drag it through the dark to find the spark

How it works

  1. Write a short message, or let the AI Wish Generator draft one, then set the reveal format to Sparkler.
  2. Sparkler is the one format that requires the recipient's name, since it gets burned directly into the glowing line rather than shown separately.
  3. Photos, a voice or video clip, a tune, and a backdrop are all optional add-ons here, same as any other format.
  4. You'll get a private link, no account needed. They find the spark in the dark, light it, and watch it burn your message in with a shower of sparks.
  5. If you attached a photo, sticker, or a voice/video message, it settles into its own card just below the burned text once the sparks die down β€” the burn is the opening moment, not the whole reveal.

When to use it

Sparkler suits a message you want to feel intimate and specific to one person: a partner, a close friend, anyone whose name deserves to be the centerpiece rather than an afterthought. Because the whole line has to stay short and glowing, it rewards a punchy phrase over a long paragraph β€” think "Happy Birthday, Sam!" rather than a full essay.

Frequently asked questions

Does Sparkler cost anything?

It's free to create and send like every format on WishCopy, and nobody has to make an account.

Why does Sparkler need a recipient's name?

Every other format shows "Happy Birthday, {name}" as its own on-screen heading. Sparkler doesn't have a separate heading β€” the burned line is the whole reveal β€” so the name is folded directly into that line instead.

Is there a character limit?

Yes. The burned message, including the recipient's name, needs to stay short enough to read as one glowing cursive line β€” aim for well under 30 characters. A longer message is automatically trimmed to fit.

Can the recipient replay it?

Yes. Like every format, a "Watch it again" option lets them relight the sparkler and replay the full burn as many times as they like.
