Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2026

By using WishCopy, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WishCopy, operated by Timothy D Anderson, ABN 24 461 519 751, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

Use of the Service

WishCopy is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may use WishCopy to browse, copy, and share birthday messages for personal communications. You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit WishCopy content in bulk
  • Scrape or systematically extract content from WishCopy
  • Use WishCopy for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the application

Content

All birthday wishes, gift ideas, and written content in WishCopy are original works created for this application. The content is provided for personal use and sharing. WishCopy retains all intellectual property rights to the original phrase library.

Interactive Experiences & User Uploads

When you create an Interactive Experience link (any of WishCopy's reveal formats, including Time Capsule, Group Wish, and Invitations), any message text, photos, sticker images, or voice or video message you add are uploaded to our servers so the recipient can view the experience, and are automatically deleted on the schedule described in our Privacy Policy — 7 days after the experience becomes openable (immediately for a normal experience, after your chosen unlock date for a Time Capsule, after you send a Group Wish, whose collection board is otherwise kept for up to 90 days, or 14 days after the event date for an Invitation). You are solely responsible for the content you upload and must have the right to share any photo, sticker, voice recording, or video you include — do not upload content depicting, or the voice or likeness of, anyone who has not consented to it, especially minors. A Group Wish lets other people add their own content to a board you started; each contributor is equally responsible for their own line, name, photo or sticker, and voice/video message, and you are responsible for reviewing the finished board before sending it. An Invitation similarly lets anyone with the link submit an RSVP reply with their own name, note, and optional photo, sticker, voice, or video message; each guest is equally responsible for their own reply, and you are responsible for the event details (date, location, and message) you provide. We may remove any Experience link, contribution, or RSVP reply at our discretion if it violates these terms.

Encores (Paid Add-On)

Encore is an optional, one-time paid add-on that lets you schedule dated follow-up notes on an Interactive Experience link, as described in our Privacy Policy. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never handle or store your card details. An Encore purchase applies only to the Experience link it was made for and is not transferable to another link. Because Encores are delivered digitally and can be scheduled as soon as payment completes, purchases are non-refundable except where required by law, including any non-excludable consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law — contact hello@wishcopy.com if something has gone wrong with a purchase and we will look into it. Buying Encore switches off the automatic deletion of the underlying Experience link and its media, so they are kept until you delete the wish yourself from its Encore page; see our Privacy Policy for details.

Birth Sky (Paid Reveal)

Birth Sky is an optional, one-time paid reveal format, with an optional printable-sky add-on, bought together at checkout for one link. Every Birth Sky also includes a Facebook 360 photo of the same sky, which you can make on your own device once payment completes. You can watch a full preview for free before paying, and the link is only given to you once payment completes. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never handle or store your card details. A purchase applies only to the link it was made for and is not transferable. Because the reveal is delivered digitally and is available as soon as payment completes, purchases are non-refundable except where required by law, including any non-excludable consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Contact hello@wishcopy.com if something has gone wrong with a purchase and we will look into it; if a purchase is refunded, its link stops opening. A paid Birth Sky link is kept until you delete it; see our Privacy Policy for details.

The sky is calculated from a real star catalogue for the date, time and city you give, and is accurate to within about a degree: plenty for a keepsake, not for navigation or astrology. Time zones and daylight saving follow each city's current rules, so a birth in a year when those rules were different may be drawn up to an hour out; when no time is given, the sky is drawn for 9 pm that evening. Star data comes from the HYG database (CC BY-SA 4.0). The Milky Way in the 360 photo comes from NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center Scientific Visualization Studio's Deep Star Maps 2020, built with Gaia data (ESA/Gaia/DPAC).

Music Box (Paid Reveal)

Music Box is an optional, one-time paid reveal format, bought at checkout for one link. A paid Music Box link is kept until you delete it; see our Privacy Policy for details.

The tune is composed automatically from the letters of the name you give, so two names that share the same letters in the same order play the same tune. Music Box draws a 3D scene and needs a reasonably recent browser with WebGL; on a device that can't draw it, the recipient is taken straight to your message. Please only add a photo you have the right to share.

Pop-Up Book (Paid Reveal)

Pop-Up Book is an optional, one-time paid reveal format, bought at checkout for one link. A paid Pop-Up Book link is kept until you delete it; see our Privacy Policy for details.

Pop-Up Book draws a 3D scene and needs a reasonably recent browser with WebGL; on a device that can't draw it, the recipient is taken straight to your message. Names longer than 12 characters are shortened to fit the book.

The Shed (Paid Reveal)

The Shed is an optional, one-time paid reveal format, bought at checkout for one link. A paid Shed link is kept until you delete it; see our Privacy Policy for details.

The Shed needs a recent phone or computer browser that can play video and sound, and it downloads about 15 MB of pictures, clips and sounds when it is opened. The utes, the shed, the number plates and the other pictures in it were made with AI and are not real vehicles or places. The number plate and the "Certificate of Registration" the recipient can save are keepsakes drawn for fun; they are not real plates or documents and must not be used as such. Names longer than 8 characters are shortened to fit the plate, and plates only take capital letters and numbers. Please only add a photo and a voice message you have the right to share.

Zodiac (Paid Reveal)

Zodiac is an optional, one-time paid reveal format, bought at checkout for one link. A paid Zodiac link is kept until you delete it; see our Privacy Policy for details.

Zodiac uses the recipient's camera, microphone and motion sensors on their device when they allow it, and needs a recent phone browser with WebGL. Without a camera, or on a computer, it plays on a jeweller's tray instead of in the hand; on a device that can't draw it at all, the recipient is taken straight to your message. Hand tracking uses Google's MediaPipe software, provided as-is and without warranty. The stone shown is the traditional birthstone for the month of the date you give, in a shade picked by the day; it is a picture, not a real gemstone or a valuation of one. Names longer than 12 characters are shortened to fit. Please only add photos and a voice message you have the right to share.

The Atrium (Free AR Reveal)

The Atrium is a free reveal format. There is no charge to make or open one, and it has no paid add-ons. Its link works for 7 days, after which the wish and its photos are deleted. It uses the recipient's camera, motion sensors and microphone on their device when they allow it, and needs a recent phone browser with WebGL; on a device that can't run it, the recipient is taken straight to your message. Names longer than 12 characters are shortened to fit the gold letters, and messages are limited to 160 characters. Floor tracking uses the 8th Wall XR Engine by Niantic Spatial, provided as-is and without warranty, and may be unavailable at any time, in which case the reveal falls back to a version that tracks the phone's motion only. Please only add photos you have the right to share.

User-Generated Content

When you submit feedback or reviews, you grant WishCopy a non-exclusive licence to display that content publicly within the application. You are responsible for ensuring your submissions do not violate any laws or third-party rights.

Prohibited Content

Regardless of where it is submitted — an Experience message, photo, sticker, voice or video recording, Group Wish contribution, Invitation RSVP reply, or feedback/review — you may not upload, submit, or share content that:

  • Is illegal, or promotes, facilitates, or provides instructions for illegal activity
  • Is sexually explicit, or exploits, endangers, or sexualises a minor in any way
  • Depicts, names, or includes the photo, voice, or likeness of a minor without a parent or guardian's consent
  • Is hateful, harassing, or threatening, or promotes violence or discrimination against any individual or group
  • Depicts or includes another real person's photo, voice, name, or likeness without their consent
  • Infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
  • Contains malware, spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited advertising
  • Impersonates any person, business, or organisation

We may remove any content, disable any Experience link or Group Wish contribution, and suspend or terminate access for any user who violates this policy, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. If you come across content you believe violates this policy, please report it to hello@wishcopy.com with the link (or a description of where it appears) so we can review and remove it.

AI Features

The Custom Vibe Creator uses third-party AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate birthday phrases on your behalf. AI-generated content is provided as-is. WishCopy is not responsible for the accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated phrases. Users are responsible for reviewing content before sending.

Some visual content on WishCopy is created using AI image-generation tools rather than photographed, including the icons in the "Choose Your Vibe" category grid and the optional photo backdrops available for Interactive Experiences, Group Wishes, and Party Invitations. This AI-generated imagery is illustrative and decorative only — it does not depict any real person, place, product, or event, and any resemblance is coincidental. WishCopy owns or holds the necessary rights to use this imagery on the Site.
