Group Wishes: A Group Birthday Card With Voice Messages

โ† All Features

The office card that gets passed around a desk, everyone signing "happy birthday!" in the same three words, has a digital problem: nobody's actually in the same room anymore. Group Wishes solves the "everyone wants to contribute but we're all in different places" problem โ€” one link, up to 12 people, one finished card.

How it works

  1. Start a board. Enter the recipient's name and an optional intro message โ€” no sign-up required.
  2. Share one private link with everyone you want to include. That's the only link that ever goes out to the group.
  3. Each friend contributes once: their own line, an optional photo or a sticker they design on the spot, and an optional short voice or video message.
  4. Watch it fill up. The collect page shows a live count and everyone's contributions as they come in, so nobody's guessing whether they're the only one who's added something yet.
  5. The organizer sends it once everyone's chipped in (or whenever they decide enough is enough) โ€” this merges every contribution into one finished reveal link for the birthday person.

What each contributor can add

  • A written line (their own birthday message, up to 300 characters)
  • Their name (optional โ€” can contribute anonymously)
  • One photo, or a sticker they design in the built-in Sticker Studio right on the same page
  • One voice message or video clip (up to 20 seconds) โ€” not both, since a video already carries its own audio

Why this beats a group chat card

A group chat thread of "happy birthday!!" messages is easy to send but forgettable to receive โ€” it's just more chat notifications. A Group Wish collects everyone's input into a single, deliberate reveal the birthday person opens once, with actual voices and faces attached instead of a wall of text. It also solves the awkward "did everyone see the thread" problem, since the organizer can see exactly who's contributed and nudge anyone who hasn't.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can contribute to a Group Wish?

Up to 12 contributors per board. Each person can add one line, one optional photo or sticker, and one optional voice or video message.

Do contributors need to sign up or install anything?

No โ€” they just open the link you share and fill in the form. No account, app, or sign-up is required.

Can contributors see what everyone else wrote?

Yes, the collect page shows every contribution submitted so far, so friends can see the card coming together in real time.

What happens after everyone has added their wish?

The organizer (whoever started the board) reviews everything and taps Send, which merges every contribution into one final reveal link for the birthday person.

How long can a board stay open for collecting?

Up to 90 days, so there's no rush to get everyone to contribute right away.
